Question: I have cancer. What do I do?

Answer: Call us. The worst part of this fight is fighting alone. We want to make sure that doesn’t happen. We are all on your side, and each one of our lives has been touched by cancer. We know what you’re going through and we know how to help.

Question: I know someone fighting cancer, what can I do to help?

Answer: The best thing you can do is love them. They need encouragement and support, and you are in the best possible position to do that. But we are here for the things you may not feel capable of doing. Come bring your loved one and let’s talk about how we can fight cancer together.

Question: I’m having trouble affording treatments. Can you help?

Answer: Yes! Our mission is to remove as many obstacles as we can for your fight against cancer. We can help you pay for treatments, help you get to treatments, and we can be there with you.

Question: I need a wig, bra, or prosthetic because of my fight with cancer.

Answer: We have a wide selection of wigs, bras and prosthetics that we would happy to give you. We have the variety to fit your style, and we look forward to helping you look your best.

Question: What services do you not provide?

Answer: We cannot give medical advice, supplies or counsel. We cannot suggest new cures or ideas. We do our best to make give you support and encouragement and we will supply you with all the resources we have to make your fight easier. We are not doctors, but we are your friends and teammates.

Question: What does this cost me?

Answer: Nothing. We are staffed entirely by volunteers, and we aren’t here to make money. We are here to help, and we don’t want money to stand in your way. Everything we do is free to you, our gift.

Question: I don’t live in Moscow, but I’m fighting cancer and I want some help. What can you do?

Answer: We have teamed up with a host of other organizations across the Palouse and surrounding areas to provide care in every town. Take a look here (link to PACC brochure) to find a resource where you are.

Question: I want to help. What can I do?

Answer: Call Kim Malm at (208) 883-6231. She directs the volunteer services for all of Gritman Medical Center, and can help you get started. We are excited to hear from you!

Question: How do I get in contact with you?

Answer: You can contact us in a variety of ways! Call us at (208) 883-6030 or come by. Our address is 700 South Main St., Moscow, ID, 83843. Come in on the Main Street entrance and look for stairs to your right. Go up to the top and turn left. You’ll see the Cancer Resource Center right in front of you. Come in, we’re waiting to help!
