If you are on dialysis, you know it can be a challenging part of life. Gritman Medical Center is proud to offer this life-sustaining treatment to residents of the Palouse and those traveling through the area.
Partnering with Fresenius Medical Care allows Gritman to offer state-of-the-art dialysis in a comfortable and attractive office space across the street from our main campus. Nine dialysis stations are equipped with high tech dialysis machines.
Hemodialysis is done on site by connecting you to a machine that cleans or purifies your blood of extra fluid and toxins.
Training is also offered for home hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, or dialysis that is typically done at home with transfer of fluid through the abdomen.
Palouse Dialysis also offers staffs a social worker and a dietitian to help you with issues associated with dialysis. Fresenius Palouse Dialysis Clinic is fully accredited and certified by the Idaho Department of Health and can bill Medicare for dialysis services.
Dr. Emily Petersen of Rockwood Clinic in Spokane is the medical director of the Palouse Dialysis Clinic. Dr. Emily Petersen sees patients at Gritman Medical Center’s Outpatient Clinic on a monthly basis. To make an appointment, please call our Outpatient Clinics at (208) 883-6264.
