The preventative screenings offered in the Women’s Imaging Center are critical in lowering a woman’s risk of breast cancer or osteoporosis. Truly a state-of-the-art facility, the Center is designed not only to meet the needs of our female patients, but also to provide an optimum working environment for our technologists and radiologists. With a complete array of diagnostic and support equipment, the Center is able to perform numerous women’s health services such as:
The most established Women’s Imaging Center in the region now offers the greatest advancement in mammography in the past 20 years—Tomosynthesis. Compared to traditional mammography, tomosynthesis provides superior diagnostic capabilities. This means a better likelihood of early detection and fewer callbacks.
Bosom Buddies provides free screening mammograms to local women who are unable to cover the screening on their own. The screening mammograms are available to women who receive their medical care in Latah County. A physician's referral is required.
To participate in the Bosom Buddies program, please contact your physician or call the Women's Imaging Center at (208) 882-5377.
The Bosom Buddies program is made possible through the Pink Tea and generous financial gifts by businesses and individuals in our community.
The Women’s Imaging Center located in the newest wing of the hospital, near the main lobby. Patricia J. Kempthorne herself was on hand to introduce this exciting new area to our community during our Grand Opening Ceremonies on July 1, 2004.
