Getting answers fast and in the most efficient way is important at Gritman Medical Center. We offer a full spectrum of imaging services, provided by skilled and experienced technologists who are all board certified by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists and are all certified within their specialties.
We use state-of-the-art imaging equipment to diagnose, evaluate and treat nearly every type of disease and injury. Images are read by board-certified radiologists from Palous Imaging Consultants.
Our technologists work directly with our Emergency Services staff and physicians to image on-the-spot emergency cases. We have a registered radiology technologist here 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week. Inpatient Imaging can not only be done in the Imaging Center, but mobile X-ray and ultra sound machines can be taken anywhere in the hospital to better accommodate less-mobile patients.
Unexpected changes in your health can happen suddenly while in the hospital. Gritman’s Rapid Response Team is prepared to stabilize you should your condition require it.
Anyone, including doctors, nurses, family or visitors, can call a Code White emergency by calling 0 on any in-house phone. You will tell the operator you are calling a Code White and give your location, which is clearly posted in all patient rooms.
What is considered a dramatic change?
Many tests can be done without being admitted to the hospital. Gritman offers a full outpatient schedule, including weekend appointments, to best accommodate your schedule.
A physician’s order is needed for all imaging except screening mammograms and bone density screening. Due to the nature of the exam, family members are asked to wait in our comfortable waiting room.
Because we know how important early diagnosis of breast cancer is and believe mammography is invaluable, we offer digital mammography and we have the only dedicated Women’s Imaging Center in the region. With its own intimate and private waiting area, patients are cared for with compassion, courtesy and respect.
The Bosom Buddies program funds free mammograms for local women who otherwise cannot afford the service. The program is supported through donations from our generous community members.
Thank you for choosing Gritman Medical Center for your healthcare needs. Your satisfaction is important to us and we are asking for your help. Some patients may receive a telephone survey. We use the results of this anonymous survey to help us improve care and services. We greatly appreciate your taking the time to give us valuable feedback.
