Gritman Adult Day Health
Gritman Adult Day Health is a not-for-profit community-based health enhancement service for vulnerable adults and frail elders. We provide an opportunity for healthy living for our aging population and an alternative for care providers. Our staff works within the standards of conduct that reflect the values of Gritman Medical Center and the National Council on the Aging. We are committed to promoting optimum health for the aging population, their families and the community at large through the development of an active treatment program for vulnerable adults and frail elders. Gritman's Adult Day
Health Center is located at 225 East Palouse River Drive in Moscow. Adult Day Health is an organized program of
restorative type therapy, activities, personal care services, medical monitoring and socialization. This program
not only assists our at-risk adults and frail elders to attain a level of optimal wellness, but also provides support
and education for their caregivers. The cost of Adult Day Health services may be covered by Medicaid, Veteran
Administration Benefits, and also by some private insurance companies. The program operates from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on
weekdays. Arrangements can be made for transportation and before or after hour care. Individuals throughout the
Palouse and those living in the Lewsiton-Clarkston Valley may participate in this program. A hot nutritious lunch is

Individuals living
at home, discharged from the hospital, staying in a nursing home, or using home health services face many choices.
With support from Gritman Adult Day Health services, participants can remain at home with their family and friends.
Day health services increase general well-being and decrease the need for more costly care options, helping
participants and families find support and security during difficult transitions.
