Gritman Medical Center's Emergency Department provides high quality emergency care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Providing all levels of emergency and trauma services.

The department is staffed at all times by registered nurses who are certified in advanced cardiac and trauma resuscitation of adult and pediatric patients. Gritman Medical Center contracts with the Moscow Emergency Physicians group to provide physician coverage 24 hours a day. Each physicians in the group is credentialed in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and trauma resuscitation.

The Emergency Department has seven rooms. Five rooms are equipped for routine medical, obstetrical, and ENT emergencies. Two rooms are larger, cardiac and trauma resuscitation rooms. These rooms are equipped with state of the art emergency equipment and can be utilized as emergency operating rooms if necessary.

Gritman Medical Center's Emergency Department offers a medical screening examination to all people who present to the hospital requesting medical care. This screen is provided by the Emergency Department physician and is done regardless of the person's ability to pay for hospital emergency services.
