Dr. Cameron Jones was led to a career in medicine through his passions that lie in answering difficult questions and in teaching others. Medicine was a natural fit to combine these interests and he has found it to be extremely satisfying to not only understand the complexity of the human body, but to help patients understand their own health and overcome disease. A moment in his medical career that he is particularly proud of is when he helped to create and be the first graduate to complete the Rural Health Fellowship through Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene. Dr. Jones has received the following awards related to his medical career: Dr. Paul G. Goerner Endowed Scholarship, AAFP Family Medicine Interest Group Program of Excellence Award and the Robert M. Murphy Scholarship.
Dr. Jones was born in southeast Idaho and always had a desire to return to Idaho for practice. He fell in love with the northern part of the state during his residency in Coeur d’Alene. “I came to Moscow because it is such a fantastic group of providers in a thriving and tight-knit community. I’m thrilled to be a part of this community and build a strong connection with my patients,” he said.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Jones loves to experiment with cooking, especially with spices, broth, and new flavor combinations. He enjoys rock climbing, basketball and outdoor adventuring with his family.
