Dr. Steve Bii, MD, FAAP is a Board-Certified Pediatrician who provides care at Gritman’s Moscow Family Medicine Downtown Clinic and QuickCARE. He specializes in caring for newborns, children, adolescents, and young adults, with a focus on compassionate, evidence-based, and family-centered care.
Originally from rural western Kenya, Dr. Bii’s path to medicine was shaped by personal experiences with loss and limited access to health care. After losing his father at a young age, he helped care for his mother, who lived with untreated mental illness in a community where such conditions were deeply stigmatized. These early challenges inspired his lifelong commitment to reducing health disparities and improving access to quality medical care for all children.
Dr. Bii moved to the United States in 2009 and earned his B.A. in Biochemistry from Oberlin College. He conducted HIV drug resistance research at Seattle Children’s Hospital before earning his M.D. from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of Washington – Seattle Children’s Hospital and is proud to be Board-Certified in Pediatrics by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Passionate about his work, Dr. Bii finds joy in the resilience of children and values partnering with families to ensure every child grows and thrives. He believes in combining compassion, advocacy, and science to promote lifelong wellness.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Bii enjoys spending time with his family, cheering on his favorite soccer teams — Arsenal and Real Madrid — playing chess, and traveling to explore new cultures and places.
