BLS - AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers

The AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) course teaches participants to recognize emergencies, perform high quality CPR, give effective breaths, and use an AED, following the 2025 AHA Guidelines. It is intended for healthcare professionals and providers who need CPR and basic life support skills.

  • Chain of Survival concepts
  • Effective ventilations
  • Early and proper AED use
  • Team roles in multi-rescuer CPR
  • Choking relief for all age groups

Blended Learning Format:
This course combines self‑paced online learning with an in‑person skills session. After completing the online portion, students must complete a hands‑on skills session (30 minutes) at Gritman Medical Center. These sessions are scheduled during normal business hours.

Certification is valid for 2 years.
