Moscow Family Recommends Gritman Pediatrics Team

Ethan’s mom was concerned about tonsilitis the first time she called Dr. Bii at Gritman’s Moscow Family Medicine Downtown clinic and was pleased to get a same-day appointment.
Ethan can have anxiety around medical procedures including shots and throat swabs, but his mom noted Dr. Bii’s caring nature alleviated many of Ethan’s fears. Dr. Bii clearly explained his process for diagnosis, helping make the first-grader more at ease with the experience.
“I found him to be delightful and trustworthy and a warm presence,” Kristin said. “My son, more importantly, did too. He thinks Dr. Bii is extraordinarily kind, which is important, especially when you are feeling kind of crummy.”
The family returned to Dr. Bii a few months later when Ethan had the flu, and his mom said the pediatrician was again kind and respectful of Ethan’s concerns about getting a throat swab.

“He was just extraordinarily patient with my son’s hesitation and lack of desire to do the test,” Kristin said. “Not feeling extreme pressure to do it quickly, and knowing why was very helpful.”
Among the reasons Ethan’s mom enjoys these interactions with Dr. Bii is the way he communicated – in both an age appropriate and respectful way. Dr. Bii let Ethan know when a test might be uncomfortable and explained the situation to make Ethan feel more comfortable.
“Dr. Bii respected him by talking with him, not just to me, and listening to him made Ethan feel comfortable and safe,” Kristin said.
The appointments with Dr. Bii complement the care Ethan has received from Pediatrician Dr. Summer Day since he was born. The Gritman Pediatrics team that includes Dr. Day, Dr. Bii and Physician Assistant Wendy Goodrich consistently ensures her son gets the care he needs – in a timely way. Each of the three regularly consults with one another to ensure their patients’ care is coordinated and appropriate throughout the appointment process.
“I can’t say enough good things about the pediatricians,” she said. “They work together as a team to treat your child the best way they can.”
