Healing Begins Close to Home
Skyler Worthington takes pride in being able to get his primary care patients in quickly for care at Gritman’s Potlatch Family Medicine clinic.
A Physician Assistant, Worthington sees patients in Potlatch but also from surrounding communities in Latah and Whitman counties.
“I enjoy being able to take time with patients and come up with solutions to their problems,” he said.
Worthington preaches the importance of an annual wellness visit for his patients so they can stay on top of chronic conditions, following up with additional care and preventing concerns from getting more serious.
“They help prevent emergency department trips, surgeries, and most chronic problems that are preventable,” he said. “Most of the problems we see, we see the complications of, if people wait too long.”
Finding the right primary care provider is an important decision. A member of the Gritman system, Worthington is able to connect with specialists very quickly, and get patients to those specialists in a timely manner. He is one of more than two dozen providers who are part of our primary care provider network through the Gritman clinic system in Moscow, Potlatch, Kendrick and Troy.
Kendrick: compassionate treatment for the entire family
The ability to care for entire families and ensure the health of patients across the course of life is what motivates Sarah Aurich.
“I truly love caring for my patients and doing everything I can to promote a healthy lifestyle for them,” she said.
A Family Nurse Practitioner, Aurich treats patients at Gritman’s Kendrick Family Medicine clinic. She is passionate about caring for everyone – the younger patients who come in for child wellness exams and sports physicals to the adults and seniors who seek out preventative advice or care for chronic conditions.
She is quick to stress the importance of preventative screenings and conversations she can have with her patients as part of routine visits in order to stay on top of each patient’s health.
“I like to focus on getting ahead of something before it gets to be a problem,” she said, “Healthy diets, making those small changes to prevent a chronic disease from developing further.”
Troy: primary care expertise for all
Jennifer Grinage prides herself on being a member of the Troy community. A Physician Assistant based out of Gritman’s Troy Family Medicine clinic, Grinage treats everyone from newborns to seniors – assisting with medical needs related to women’s health, veterans services, and all areas in between.
“Having a primary care provider helps us work on the preventative side of things and it helps us to be in control of your health as a team, before things go wrong,” she said.

Depending on medical and family histories, Grinage encourages each of her patients to have a yearly preventive care exam. Preventative care through the hospital and clinic system helps keep patients close to their support systems and allows for more community-based treatment and recovery.
Moscow: personalized care from multiple locations
Dr. Robin Sautter, a Family Medicine and OB provider, agrees with Grinage’s sentiments. Sautter treats patients from Gritman’s Moscow Family Medicine Downtown clinic and said it’s vital that her patients have access to specialty services right here in the community.
“That’s why I’m always referring my patients to the Gritman Medical Center system because I find it’s easy for them to get plugged into the system, get those surgeries quickly,” she said. “And then it’s easy for me to follow up because I know exactly what kind of care they were receiving.”
Patients in Moscow have the option to schedule appointments with the primary care providers at our Moscow Family Medicine Downtown, Gritman Internal Medicine and Moscow Family Medicine Westside clinics. Same-day, walk-in care is available through our QuickCARE clinic at 2500 W. A St. in Moscow.
