Pink Tea and Pink Cocktail

Thank you for your generous support!

Thank you to everyone who attended the Gritman Foundation Pink Tea and Pink Cocktail events as we marked the 20th year of this moving community program. Our 2022 event included a powerful message in support of cancer care services here on the Palouse!

Our cancer care programs, spaces, and equipment wouldn’t be possible without your generosity. Your continued support ensures more people in our region can detect, fight and survive cancer. Thank you!

Support the Gritman Foundation
Thank you for joining us at the 2022 Gritman Pink Tea and Pink Cocktail.

The Gritman Cancer Care Fund is the best way to donate to cancer care in our region; it allows the Gritman Foundation to support cancer patients in countless ways. This fund supports Bosom Buddies, Light a Candle, cancer-care equipment, helps patients on a need-by-need basis, and much more.

The Gritman Foundation Light a Candle Program helps people in our region who are facing cancer. Designed to ease some of the burdens that come with facing cancer, we can help with services like housekeeping, grocery assistance, massage therapy, gas cards and more.

Early detection saves lives, and regular mammograms are the best way to detect breast cancer early. Bosom Buddies provides free screening mammograms to local women who are unable to pay for the screening on their own. The screening mammograms are available to women who receive their medical care in Latah County. A physician’s referral is required.

Relive some of the amazing moments from Pink Tea and Pink Cocktail events.

The Pink Tea and Pink Cocktail events are two of Moscow’s premier fundraising events, hosted by the Gritman Foundation. Continuing the tradition set forth by the vision of former first lady of Idaho, Patricia Kempthorne, our efforts to provide early breast cancer detection through free screening mammograms have reached more than 1,000 women in our area. In recent years, we’ve challenged the community to think beyond pink and we extended cancer support services to all who have been touched by cancer.

No One Fights Alone

We caught up with some past Pink Tea and Pink Cocktail speakers to see where their journeys have taken them. In each testimony, there is a central theme that reminds us that no one fights alone.

We have been fortunate to hear stories from cancer survivors like Maria Horta Vorse and her husband, Chad Vorse. A common theme arose from the survivors who have spoken – no one fights alone, and when a community comes together to support someone battling cancer, special and lifelong bonds are made.
