State Medicaid Insurance applications must be completed and submitted to the state where the patient physically resides. If you would like to talk to someone about your bill or need assistance filling out your insurance forms, our patient representatives will be happy to assist you. The patient billing office hours are Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

If the Patient does not qualify for state Medicaid benefits or cannot afford health insurance under the Affordable Care Act a patient may be eligible for Gritman Medical Center’s Hospital Financial Assistance Program. Gritman Medical Center’s Financial Counselors can be reached at 208-883-2223.

What if I do not have medical insurance?
You may be eligible for either State assistance, Latah County assistance, or Gritman Medical Center’s Financial Assistance program. Please contact our Financial Counselor at 208-883-2223 for more information.
How do I find out what my medical insurance benefits will cover?
Insurance carriers send medical cards to each beneficiary. On the back of the card there will be a toll-free number for you to call. Your insurance carrier is your best resource to find out what is considered a covered service. The insurance company will also be able to inform you how much your individual deductible and coinsurance rates will be for a specific type of service.
What types of payment arrangements are available?
If you do not have medical insurance and need to make a payment please contact our Financial Counseling Department Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at 208-883-2223. Gritman Hospital also has a prompt pay policy. Please ask our Financial Counselors for additional information.
